The Summit 16R is a compact and highly reliable two-level staircase tower designed for programs that want safe stairway access and elevated visibility in a smaller footprint. This tower includes viewing platforms at 8’ and 16’, each accommodating two people, with a reverse-side landing at 12' supports an additional two personnel. The Summit 16R provides an efficient elevated vantage point for band directors, coaches, and media staff. Built with 3.5-inch corner posts, it delivers excellent durability and field-side stability.
What distinguishes the Summit 16R from the standard Summit 16 is the addition of a fully enclosed hip-style roof, bringing the total structure height to 27 feet. The roof is hand-built, sealed, and painted to prevent deterioration and features a design with no exposed rafters or open gaps, eliminating areas where birds or wasps can nest. It also includes integrated lightning protection and a gutter-channel system for controlled water runoff, extending longevity and enhancing safety.
Like all FWS models, the Summit 16R includes conduit pathways, so your electrician can keep wiring for lights, cameras, or audio cleanly hidden within the structure. A secure locking base door provides controlled access while allowing safe outdoor storage of equipment that can remain outside year-round.
